Director: Gay Hennessy E-mail: ghennessy@teachersonreserve.com Gay, a California native, is the owner of Teachers On Reserve, LLC and served as Director of Substitute Services for the original corporation. She is an experienced educator with an administrative background in private and public school education. She also has 15 years experience as the CEO of her own film company. Gay graduated from Scripps College with a double major and received her M.A. in Education from Claremont Graduate School. She has both a California Lifetime Multiple-Subjects Teacher’s Credential and a California Administrative Credential. She is the busy mother of a high school student.

Coordinator: Diane Ventura E-mail: dventura@teachersonreserve.com Diane was born and educated in upstate New York where she worked as an arts-in-education specialist for several school districts. She co-founded the Capital District Shakespearefest and served as the NY State Director of the Odyssey of the Mind Program. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has worked as an Outreach Education Manager for Mt. St. Mary’s College and in the private sector as R&D Director for the Color Me Mine Corporation. She has worked for Teachers On Reserve since 2002 and is currently overseeing many aspects of the company’s growth.

Recruitment Manager: Skye McKenzie E-mail: recruiter@teachersonreserve.com Skye McKenzie uses his background as a teaching artist and actor/director to bring a unique perspective to our Recruiting Department. In New York he founded Live History Productions, an arts-in-education company that created programs which brought historical characters to life, raised multicultural awareness with Folktales from Around the World and introduced over 10,000 students to the works of William Shakespeare. He has worked for TOR since 2005. His careful evaluation of our teacher candidates has maintained and strengthened our pool of substitute teachers.

Dispatch Manager: Aja Whipper E-mail: supportteam@teachersonreserve.com Aja was born and raised in the beautiful state of Hawaii. She moved to Los Angeles to attend USC, where she graduated with a degree in Architecture. In her spare time she enjoys working with her husband on music and arts projects and designs and sells her own line of custom greeting cards. Aja began working with Teachers On Reserve in the fall of 2001 as a part-time dispatcher and now manages the always-busy dispatch department.

Bookkeeper & Northern CA Coordinator: Andrea Ikenberry E-mail: torbooks@teachersonreserve.com Andrea began working for Teachers On Reserve in 1997 as a dispatcher. She now uses her considerable skills as TOR’s Bookkeeper and is also responsible for teacher recruitment as the Northern California Coordinator. In her spare time, Andrea enjoys reading, exploring photography, art and web design.

Manager of Application Development: Hyro Hayrapetyan E-mail: hyro@teachersonreserve.com Hyro has been a resident of Los Angeles since migrating here with his family over 30 years ago. He attended Loyola High and graduated from CSUN with a degree in Information Systems. Working with computers has been a hobby of Hyro’s since he was 13. It became a career at the age of 20 when he began working as a Web Developer Intern at Cedars-Sinai Hospital. He then moved on to the American Film Institute where he served the better part of 9 years as a Web Programmer. He has greatly improved our web applications and website since arriving at Teachers On Reserve’s in 2008. Hyro continually strives to improve the technological experience for teachers and administrators alike.
